Earlier this month, I was offered an opportunity to visit two sub AVAs of the famed Willamette Valley: McMinnville and Yamhill-Carlton. Both of these AVAs are unique in so many exceptional ways, and spending just a day in each of these areas allowed me to literally taste the terroir of a region known for some of the world’s best Pinot Noir.
