With more than 460 wineries producing over two million cases of wine, Oregon is one of the largest wine-producing states in the country. And despite a challenging economy, in 2012 Oregon witnessed the opening of several new wineries, as well as hosted conferences, implemented new educational programs, and launched the first-ever "Oregon Wine Month."
Here are some highlights in the world of Oregon wine that took place during 2012:
